History

In 2023 Mona Creisson and Benoît Gautier created Killer Whales Music Theory , a quartet who’s aim was to tour on a sailing boat along the stormy coast of Brittany. From this intense shared experience emerged a music that carries the raw energy of free jazz while staying anchored in our present experiences and a specific sound that is born deep down the sea . In 2025, after an epic concert at AMR international jazz festival, Gregor Vidic and Romane Chantres left the band, and the quartet welcomed two new members, Chloé Marsigny on Bass clarinet and Stefano Grasso on drum. The band will tour for Suisse Diagonal Jazz festival in January 2026, with the plan of recording a debut album in the spring.
